Brown is the new cool . So, today I am going to introduce you to a brown liner which recently got added into my vanity. I got this product along with my biotique anti acne gel (Click). "Mam this product is not animal tested". The girl at Chambor prattled on. She handed me a liner and lured me to try it and I, even though not interested made a swatch of it(That moment!). It was so soft. Softer than MNY kajal. Then, I had to get it.

My personal views about this product:

Finish-

This gives brown with gold shimmer. But the gold shimmer is not too much. Can be worn everyday. Brown liner gives naturally shaped eyes.

Packaging-

Pencil type with a silver cap. Since it is so soft it becomes flat in one use so, we need to sharpen it every time we use it. I prefer retractable pencil than this. Doesn't comes with sharpener and I feel like the product is getting wasted every time i sharpen it.

Staying Power-

This stays put for 4 to 5 hours on your eyes. It does smudge a bit.

Waterproof-

It is waterproof. Doesn't smudge or transfer to clothes (So thumbs up for this).

Price-

Rs.400. Not a budget friendly product.

Okie coming to my novel time. I have finished FROST BITE  2nd part in Vampire Academy Series. Frost Bite is about how Rose (Main character) kills strigoi (Evil) and saves friends, even though she lost one guy who had a big crush on her and sacrifices his life for her. This part does leave scars behind. Then I started with Shadow Kiss book (3rd part of the series).  Always second or third part in a series are not very interesting, the same goes with this series too. I will post you soon about this book in my next post. Bubye !!

Palmolive Thermal Spa Mineral Massage Shower Gel Review

My views about this product:

Firstly,I am giving ++ for the packaging. Very hygienic and the flip flop is tight enough from letting the product spill out. After every wash my skin feels fresh and soo soft, I don't know whether its because of Thermal salt & White clay content in it.  Freshens up enough and mild  fragrance keeps lingering in my skin throughout the day. I don't think anybody can have sensitive nose than me but this didn't give me headache or any kind of allergies to my skin. The colour they have chosen for packaging makes me feel like, I am in beach :) I Love this product a lot. I have been using this for months. Hope they release in small sizes soon for making it travel friendly.

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Face Wash: Energizing Lemon

My views about this product:

When I go and pick a face wash or face mask I always pick the one which has lemon content in it because, I believe that only lemon can clean my face :P. This one after use makes my face bright. It does have some brightening effect which is though temporary yet impressed me. The yellow beads in the liquid work as a gentle, mild scrub and clean my face. After wash, it leaves behind a bright, glowing and happy face. Clean and clear company is a pioneer, they released in different quantities which helped me to leave behind the large one at home and carry a small bottle out. It doesn't clog pores or cause redness. This product never gave me a thought to try another face wash. I am on my fifth bottle. I even tried strawberry flavor but according to me lemon won over it.

Vega Soft Sponge Brush.

My views :

This is not my first bath brush I have tried two or three of some other brands, but the brush's fiber would come out of it or it would scratch me. This one I guess is made for my skin type. I use palmolive shower gel along with this and it makes my skin squeaky clean (i feel like I took bath only after using this!! ) . It has two parts in it out of which one is for cleaning and other is for massaging. The part in the second image is for massaging our knee,elbow,feet and so on. So this does multi-tasking. That's why I like using this brush. Maybe daily usage may make our skin dry so I use on alternative days. Its been 2 months and still the fibers of this brush din't get torn or came out. I recommend this brush to all of you, who have serious concern about keeping skin super clean.

I would like to share that I am so happy for Narendra modi becoming PM and Jayalalitha becoming CM(Tamil Nadu). My hearty congratulations to them :) I have faith that they will make India a better country soon(Fingers crossed !!). Hiiii!!!   I found it little late, but not too late,Aloe Vera it is!! This makes our skin soft and spot-free(^-^). Aloe Vera is considered as a sacred source of nature, it contains vitamins including A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B6. This has 90% of water content, it hydrates our skin and keeps it look healthy.If you have aloe vera planted in your home(You Lucky),cut the stem and place it in the fridge then rub it all over your skin that gives a soothing effect for which you may be burning your pocket in the parlor. Only if you don't have it in home ,go for products.Whenever I get breakout my mom would advise me to use aloe vera which I hardly hear.One month back when I went to mall I was checking for some good face mask and my mom from behind me spotted this product and told me to get it(Okie,just to appease her I got this one that time)

This refreshing, anti-bacterial moisturizer is blended with chlorophyll and extracts of seaweed, sea algae, aloe vera and gum Arabic to tighten pores, avert blemishes, and keep skin nourished and clear without flaking.

Chinai ghas (Gelidium amansii), Kuda (Holorrhenna antidysenterica), Ghrit kumari (Aloevera indica), Kikkar gaund (Acacia Arabica), Samundir Kai (Gelidium amansii), Himalayan Water Q.S.

How to use it

Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, morning and evening, to refresh skin. Also recommended for post hair removal, to soothe and condition the skin against redness and irritation.

Price: Rs. 199(Keeps increasing don't know why). 

My personal views about this product:

·        Finish-This is a green color gel which is very thin.Once I massage it all over  face it forms a thin layer over face but did not leave any color on me.It does have a cooling effect which makes me happy after application .I would best suggest to use this product as night skin care avoiding your mouth area.

·        Consistency- It has very thin and flowing consistency, but not running. It does make your face sticky :(

·        Fragrance-It has a mild fragrance that lasts only till applying.So people with sensitive noses like me need not worry about it.

·        Packaging- Its a tub with a cover.Personally, I don't like tub packaging that too for acne treatment they shouldn't keep tub packaging as we have to use it carefully every time.

·        Result-This product reduced my black spots considerably and evens out my skin.This keeps my skin hydrated and healthy.For this one reason I recommend this to all.But it wouldn't totally stop acne but definitely reduce occurrence and its size.I would say this product is better than astringents(Why did i spend so much on it?? Sigh!!) as those dehydrated my skin badly :(

What I think could have been better:

·         Packaging-If i see a person working in biotique i would say "Please change it to tube or with a flip-flop cover or else at least the color,its boring".

·         Sticky-It does make your face sticky after application.

• Yeah!!..Till i find a non-sticky one with good packaging or till i start growing my own aloe vera plant.

MNY's Hyper Glossy Liquid Eyeliner

While walking through a lifestyle shop at Inorbit mall, blinking my eyes on every single display, I positioned my eyes on this cute little product. I went and stood there for a minute while a girl at the counter started describing about this product (even though she didn’t have to do as I had already decided to get this). I grabbed it in my hand and came with it to my room (After paying only).

Hyper Glossy yes, rightly named, this one has a glossy finish, which made me instantly happy as i need not touch those boring, drying matte ones.

My personal views on this product:

·        Finish-This gives an amazing glossy finish not a shimmery one. A little quantity will run for a long way. It dries in seconds so you need not sit seeing down for minutes. Glossy finish gives you a fresh eye look throughout the day.

·        Packaging- It comes in a cute little plastic bottle with a slender long cap. The bottle is only one inch size so it is easy to carry anywhere.

·        Brush-It has a fine, thin and soft tip. You can apply on a thin line or thick line with this one. This one is perfect for winged and cat eye look too.

·        Staying Power- This stays put for 7+hours on your eyes, if you don’t rub your eyes (which I always do).

·        Waterproof- It does not smudge, as I said before, it stays put for a long time. Okie coming to attacking it with water, it is water resistant but not water proof. It can withstand water, but rubbing it with water makes it loose the fight and fade away, but for me this is a plus, I don’t want it to stay and give me a hard job in removing it.

·        Price- It’s a budget friendly eyeliner, if you want a good brand and with a good quality.

·        Availability - In all malls and even in almost all shopping websites. 

What I think could have been better:

·         Quantity- Why MNY why? This really disappoints me .Quantity is too less :( 

I love this product and can hardly find any negatives. I love Maybelline because of their quality and their price when compared to other branded products out there. 

As mentioned in my previous post (Click here), I finished The Cuckoo's Calling. It’s about a famous super model who (Lula) plunges to her death, which police eventually confirms as suicide. The Main characters are Coromon strike (detective), Robin (assistant-I started liking her because she has characters similar to mine).It’s more like conversation type of story, too many characters to remember but a good story to read on a slow day.

After all Precaution is better than cure right?

Do you guys know the sun is the major cause of wrinkles?

Yes, it is.

Why do we need to wear sunscreen?

Sunrays have UVA and UVB rays

UVA rays-

·       Damages inner lying cells and major cause of premature aging. 90% of wrinkles are caused by the sun (Ugh…!).

·       It also has melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma, two types of skin cancer cells

UVB rays-

·       This causes sunburns and tanning.

So to have a glowing and young skin we need to have a sunscreen no matter whether you are a boy or girl.

How to choose a sunscreen depends upon how long you are going to be exposed to the sun. Even on a cloudy day, you need to wear sunscreen as UVA\UVB can penetrate through clouds.

SPF-Sun Protection Factor it is. This protects you from UVB (You don’t get a tan and no to sunburns). While buying a sunscreen see whether it has a minimum of SPF 15, because it can protect your skin for 150 minutes (2 hour and 30 mins). Going for SPF 30 can protect your skin for 300mins (5hr).

PA+- Protection Grade of UVA (PA) this gives protection against UVA rays (You are safe from wrinkles and skin cancer). The more the +’s the more you are safe from sun. Chemicals which give us these are avobenzone, oxybenzone, mexoryl, zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.

Talking about the product, I opted for

LOTUS HERBALS 3-in-1 MATTE LOOK DAILY SUNBLOCK.

The Product claims to give

• Sun Protection
• Skin Lightening
• Mattifying

I opted for this because it has SPF 40 and PA+++.

   How to Use:

Apply liberally and evenly on face and exposed parts of the body (neck, arms, legs, etc.) before exposure to sun. Re-apply frequently.

 Ingredients:

Water, talcum, kaolin light, glycerine, polyacrylamideC13-14 Isoparaffin laureth-7, oxybenzoene,octyl methoxy cinnamate, titanium dioxide, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, isopropyl myristare,cyclopentasiloxane, elcosene, copolymer, fumed silica, 2- phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone, red iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, fragrance.

My personal views about this product:

• SPF 40 & P+++-It has everything a good sunscreen should have Jthis one protects us from both UVA & UVB rays.
• Hygienic Packaging- It comes in orange tube with a flip-flop cap. Flip cap is sturdy and travel friendly
• Fragrance-It has a mild fragrance similar to fair ever (if you have ever used). It lasts only till the applying stage. After which there is no fragrance.
• Consistency- It has very thin and flowing consistency which goes matte on blending. It is non-greasy and non-sticky.
• Since I have combination skin, I prefer matte ones. It is not heavy or thick, which is a surprise for a matte sun block though..!
• Finish-It gives a matte finish. Hence, people with dry skin need to moisturize their face before applying. It’s a boon for oily skin beauties out there. It does not leave a white cast. Since it is tinted (Sandal wood colour), it gives a sheer coverage so ladies out there can go with this product for a daily wear.
• Price-It comes in 2 quantities, 50g and 100g.I got this in 100g which is priced Rs.345.

What I think could have been better:

• Price is not bad yet if it’s lessened a little then it’s great.
• The Only draw bag is that the product tends to get accumulated near the mouth of the tube :).

It’s just Rs.75, for a brand like Maybelline, it sounds like a sale season.

They come in 40 amazing shades and most of it suits the Indian skin tone (yay…)!!!

They impress not only by their price, but also by their quality, just one thick coat is enough to give an opaque look. It lasts for six-seven days in the left hand and legs, but in the right hand, it lasts for three days. Its fragrance is like most of the usual nail polishes.

This nail polish could be worn, when we go out for a party, as the name suggests. It’s a very bold color, just one thick coat is enough.

 Blueberry Ice (403)

This is the most popular shade of all the color show range. This color is famous as it is unique and gives us a Beachy or icy look. I like to wear this color when I go to beach, just one thick swipe is enough for a perfect look. If you have bigger nails unlike mine, please go ahead and 

use another swipe.

Silk Stockings (501)

It’s just like skin color with slight shimmer on it. This is one of my favorite colors in this range. Just two swipes of it, looks perfect on nails.

Nude Skin (015)

This is close to the skin color or beige shade. Two swipes of this is what we need from the bottle.If you are wondering, what the difference is? Between this and silk stocking, Well this one doesn’t have any shimmer, whereas silk stocking has shimmers.

My personal opinion after using the product:

• First of all, as I said above, I am gifted with combination skin. I get oily near my T-zone and dry in the rest of the areas of my face. I tried many moisturizers which made me look like I poured oil on my face but this one made me look good.
• My skin looks healthy instantly after applying.
• No fragrance-> this impressed me a lot, because I get headache if the fragrance is too strong.
• This is two in one product-> moisturizer plus Sunscreen (SPF-15).
• Packaging is very convenient and hygienic; it comes with good quality pump dispenser with lock.
• Consistency is good-> not too runny and not thick too.
• I have not experienced any break out after using it even though I use one more product about which I will be putting a review soon.
• One pump is sufficient enough, for the whole face and neck, thus lasts long.

In my opinion what I feel, could have been better

• People who like fragrance will get disappointed.
• Price could have been little less.
• Hope they release smaller sized bottles so that it can be travel friendly.
